Heeeyyyy.

I bought this off trademe, expecting it to be a hole strobe unit, inclusive of lights however it is not. It is simply a controller.

Now I'm useless at any electronics, and I'm more useless at reading diagrams, this is what I have so far.

Referring to the instructions, I unplugged my indicator flasher unit, plugged the black to earth, red to 12v and green into the other port, done this twice and each time blew a fuse. Swapped the red/green over and it did not blow fuse but would not work.

Am I reading the instructions wrong? Ideally I don't want to run the indicators at a faster flash speed, I want to have my headlights flashing fast like a strobe.

The black knob is speed control, the grey circular box I guess is the brains, what am I doing wrong! Please help!

Guys.

Can anyone confirm amount of oil needed for said gearbox.

What would be better is if someone had a diagram of box as it appears there is a couple of differing opinions.

This has been converted to rear wheel drive.

Does the rear part of the casing need fluid too?

hey guys,

I have recieved some rear overfenders for my a31, and there is no spots to screw/rivet to the body . :(

has anyone got some ideas on how i could attach to the car? sounds stupid, but what about a strong bond of silicone etc?

any help is appreciated,

Guys,

Has anybody got any info regarding what x member to use?  I understand it's possibly custom


The box I have just bought came with everything to suit a31, however the x member he has supplied is all sorts of crazy. One side looks like it will bolt up,.while the other side lines up with my right hand side chassis rail...

This really freaks my brain, as I was sold this as a complete kit to suit.

Am currently getting the no text back move from old owner... >:(

Hey doods

this is a problem that I have kind of just been bearing with.

Any ideas or tips? It's turning left. I have had 3 alignments, and although it does get a little better there is still an issue.

Car has. 0 ackerman knuckles,  25mm extended control arms, s14 inner rack ends, a32 outters.

Lock diff, about -5 camber up front, steering rack has had full overhaul.

maybe turning left the hydraulic oil is bypassing the piston in the rack?

May be able to dig out latest align settings paper.

Audio, Security and Electrical / fuel pump problem

Guys.

car has been sitting outside not started in 3 weeks, there was moisture in the engine bay which I thought may be a ignition problem.

but my fuel pump is not priming, I have pulled the fuel line off my regulator and no fuel is being pumped through.

I have checked fuses etc


does the pump need a higher voltage to run? Like 13v plus? My battery was reading 12.5v.

Hope yoh can help, I have drift school in a month!

can anybody give me their opinions on whats good? Gopro seem to have so many models and even more colours, which makes it hell miserable to figure out what is the latest.

Hi guys.

so I have a brain like a rock, and simply dont understand wiring.

what I kind of get is that this all may be on a supply circuit, with a fail safe like a fuse.

however, I have checked all fuses in engine bay, and under dash. Of which all are ok

I dont really understand what a "relay" does.

Hope someone can help before my next scruiteneering.

General Performance / The fuel tank, that doesn't seal.

Chaps.

After pulling my pump out many a time, it has become apparent of late that my o ring doesnt appear to be doing a good job anymore.

I put this down to the fact that the bolt holes are now completely slogged and as soon as I wind the little bolts up, they have stripped the fred.

Is r.t.v safe to use with fuel? Short of getting another new tank, is there anything else I can do?

The last thing I want is to be at an event and having fuel sloshing outtop of my tank (boot area).

Only 2 of the bolts are completely rooted.

Still looking for a cefiro float and sender unit less pump if possible.  Aaaaaand maybe a new tank...

Let me know if you think rtv is a go, or weather I should just set myself on fire now.

Hi there.

Im sure alot of you will laugh at the silliness of this question,  but have made up a stainless switch panel for a couple things and have a genuine question.

My fans were running originally on a "on/off" toggle switch.

I have changed all my switches to the led type (3 points to wire instead of pwr/earth only)

Can someone please let this idiot know the wiring for the new led switch, as in so when switch is on, fans run and led is glowing.

Currently I can get the led to switch on/off, but fans fail to start.  Also tested old switch to ensure no fuses etc had blown, and old switch works fans fine.

Thanks for any input/lolz at this. Wiring just freaks this little ducks head.

General Performance / Fuel cradle/float problem (photos).

Hey all,

Ever since buying my a31, I have always had problems with fuel gauge being faulty/not working.

Now im getting towards the pointy end of using the car, I decided to investigate the issue.

Removed pump and cradle, and when out of the tank it registers on the dash gauge.

I think the float maybe getting hung up on something in the tank.

Can anyone tell me where the float is ment to position itself inside the tank? Is it ment to be inside or outside the factory 'surge' internally?

If it does go inside there, its very difficult to remove pump and fit again. Surely I am missing something obvious?

Long time!

Question for the knowledges.

Factory a31 hicas.

Still retains a (fully overhauled)hicas steering rack.

555 lcas knuckles etc

No hicas loom runs to boot (usual place for ecu?)

No pump on left side of engine bay.

Plugged hicas line to secondary pump.

Apparently when disconnecting the hicas ecu, you get heavy steering, but theres no loom on the body to test another ecu.

Hope someone can help? ? Apparently also you can scan hicas for any faults?

Is there a manual sensitivity adjustment somewhere?

Is anyone able to advise if this is a hicas or non hicas rack out of my cefiro.

Was born a hicas car by the looks of it. However has no reminiscences of anything out back anymore.

I only need one little part off it. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated !!

Just tried contacting Cockram nissan through this site on parts prices for a rebuild of a R32 RB26 , however my account doesn't allow such priveleges to ask a question in the sponsors thread..

As in OE pistons, rings, head studs, gasket set etc.

Does anyone know the rough costs / places one could purchase this stuff from?
