Do you need your own helmet?

a few n00b questions - apology in advance:
- Is scrutineering quite a bit over and above WOF stuff? The car leaks oil a bit when parked up, is that sort of stuff going to be a problem?
- Is motorcycle helmet acceptable? Mine's a flip-up type (like the bike cops wear).
- Is old (but clean and freshly laundered) workshop overall acceptable?
cheers

ps wow 900 posts! most of them must have been either BS or questions as i still don't know jack... ;)

I haven't been for a while but typically, the inspection is a safety check e.g battery is secure, the car has WOF and rego. If the oil leak is serious, you may have an issue.
Don't know about the helmet, you might have to search their web site for answers.
Workshop overalls are okay so long as they are cotton.

^ Thanks dude
I'll check out the source of the leak, the weather is not cooperating, as the car sits outside.
I suppose I could just turn up and see what happens - if can't race for whatever reasons, I can always watch other people going fast with envy... ;)
